Voi, che avete trasformato il mondo in un gigantesco social network per “rafforzare le relazioni, supportare il cambiamento culturale, avvicinare e spingere i cittadini a partecipare al dibattito politico e sociale”, sapete bene che in realtà l’uso dei social sta diminuendo la capacità di relazionarsi con gli altri.
Avete ora l’occasione di dimostrare che quella funzione di unire i popoli del mondo è possibile, ora che la vita stessa di ognuno di noi potrebbe ripiombare indietro di 80 anni e cancellare quello che è stato costruito sul sangue versato dalle guerre mondiali.
Chiamate a raccolta tutti i popoli in una mobilitazione fisica generale in tutte le piazze del mondo, per condannare questa guerra senza senso e chiedere a “furor di popolo” l’uso dell’unica arma tollerata nel XXI secolo: il negoziato. Voi avete lo strumento per raggiungerli tutti, e riuscire là dove persino l’Onu è impotente. Prendetevi un giorno del vostro tempo per organizzare il più grande raduno del pianeta contro la guerra.
E si unisca in questa missione “morale” anche Ellon Musk, con i suoi satelliti, per dare alla protesta una copertura globale. La guerra del Vietnam finì anche per le gigantesche manifestazioni in tutte le piazze del mondo, ma allora non c’erano i social network, e ci sono voluti anni. Forza, fate la cosa giusta!

You have transformed the world into an enormous social network with the aim of “strengthening relationships, supporting cultural change, engaging and encouraging citizens to participate in political and social debate”, but you now realize that the use of social media is actually reducing people’s capacity to communicate with one another.
This is the opportunity to demonstrate that the internet has the power to unite people around the world, in a moment when we risk to be plunged back 80 years, erasing all that has been constructively built on the bloodshed of the World Wars.
This is an invitation for a call to action that seeks to bring together the global population in a mass mobilization in all the squares of the world, to condemn this senseless war and ask by popular acclaim to employ the only weapon tolerated in the 21st century: negotiation.
You alone have the instruments to reach everyone and to succeed where even the United Nations has not. Take one day out of your schedules and organize the biggest rally of the planet against the war. And let’s have Elon Musk join this “moral” mission as well, with his satellites, to give this protest global coverage. The war in Vietnam ended also thanks to the massive demonstrations all over the world, and back then social media did not exist, taking much longer to accomplish.
The time is now. Do the right thing!
